Iowa Looks To Regroup After Getting Thumped At Michigan State

Iowa is rapidly headed toward a disappointing season. The Hawkeyes never recovered from a bad opening half in a 32-20 loss at a Michigan State. The offense responded in the second half but the Spartans torched the Iowa defense for 468 yards and were never forced to punt.

That’s Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz. Poor tackling plagued the defense all game.

The offense has been hampered by a lack of production at quarterback and wide receiver but the defense has taken a huge step backwards from last season.

A season that began with high expectations is on the verge of unraveling.

The Hawkeyes are 4-3 overall and host Northwestern on Saturday.
