The schedule for the Iowa men’s basketball team takes a significant jump Tuesday night when the Hawkeyes visit eighth ranked Creighton.
Under former UNI and Iowa State coach Greg McDermott they Bluejays have become a consistent top 25 program.
That’s Iowa coach Fran McCaffery. This will be the first road test for a team that has six newcomers playing significant minutes.
In a 2-0 start Iowa’s point guards have combined for 28 assists and only five turnovers.
Iowa will be challenged on the defensive end. Creighton is shooting over 58 percent and made 30 three pointers in a 2-0 start.
McCaffery says it will take a team effort on defense.
It will be a late 9:10 tip off in Omaha Tuesday night. It will be televised by Fox Sports One.
