Iowa Opens B1G Tournament Thursday In Chicago

Iowa will need to win four games in four days to win a second straight Big Ten Tournament title.

The Hawkeyes open Thursday afternoon as the five seed in Chicago and play Ohio State. Ohio State held on to edge Wisconsin 65-57 in a Big Ten tournament opener Wednesday. It is a mountain the Hawkeyes climbed a year ago in an unlikely run to the championship.

That’s Iowa coach Fran McCaffery who says handling quick turnarounds is a key.

McCaffery says depth is a must for a deep run.

McCaffery believes this team has the depth in needs.
