Iowa Remains 5th In AP Poll After Win Over Colorado State

The Iowa Hawkeyes remain fifth in the latest AP College Football Poll. The Hawkeyes are 4-0 after a 24-14 win over Colorado State.

Iowa outscored the Rams 17-0 in the second half after trailing 14-7 at halftime. Coach Kirk Ferentz.

The ground game took a step back as the Hawkeyes finished with only 54 yards of rushing.

It will be a short week for the Hawkeyes who return to Big Ten play by visiting Maryland Friday night.

It was a breakout game for freshman receiver Keegan Johnson, who had two catches for 96 yards, including a touchdown grab in the second quarter.

Johnson says he is gaining confidence with each game.

Linebacker Jack Campbell had 18 tackles and recovered a fumble inside the Colorado State 10-yard line that turned the game around.

Campbell says as well as the defense has played they are still looking to get better.
