Iowa State Coach Matt Campbell On Team’s Toughness

Iowa State football coach Matt Campbell likes the talent on his team coming out of spring drills but is still unsure about the toughness level. The Cyclones are coming off a school record 11 wins and Campbell says toughness begins with leadership.

Campbell says next season’s team will depend upon several new leaders.

Campbell says the toughness will need to develop early. The Cyclones open August 23rd in Dublin, Ireland, against Big 12 rival Kansas State and two weeks later will host Iowa in the annual Cy-Hawk game.

The Cyclones closed spring drills on Saturday.
