Iowa State Visits No. 4 Texas Tuesday night

Another tough assignment on Tuesday night for Iowa State as the Cyclones visit a Texas team that has climbed to fourth in the AP Poll.

ISU is 2-5 overall and 0-3 in the Big 12 after a nine point loss to second ranked Baylor.

That’s ISU coach Steve Prohm who says while the Cyclones have played well against some of the Big 12’s top teams it needs to eventually translate to wins.

Prohm says it is a big opportunity for the Cyclones.

Texas is 8-1 overall and coming off a shocking 25 point win at Kansas.

After missing the first six games with a sprained knee sophomore guard Tre Jackson returned and logged 36 minutes in the loss to Baylor.

Jackson says it will take a 40 minute effort to get the win at Texas.
