Ames, Iowa — Iowa State coach Matt Campbell says getting to the Big 12 Championship might be the goal of his players but it was never a stated goal of the program.
The Cyclones are coming off a loss at Texas Tech and at 4-3 in the league race have seen their chances at a repeat trip to the title game vanish.
Campbell says he has never talked about a goal being the Big 12 title game.
The Cyclones visit 12th ranked Oklahoma this week and Campbell has been pleased with how the Cyclones have bounced back even after some tough losses.
Spencer Rattler replaced Caleb Williams at quarterback in Oklahoma’s loss at Baylor and Campbell says they will be ready to see either one.
