Deontae Craig could be the next break-out star on Iowa’s defensive line. The junior steps in at the defensive end spot vacated By Green Bay Packer rookie Lukas Van Ness.
In 13 games last season Craig tied for the team lead with six and-a-half sacks. He has the potential to be Iowa’s best playmaker on the defensive front.
Craig also had 10 tackles for a loss and forced three fumbles. He feels that experience will help him this season.
The Hawkeyes open September second at home against Utah State.
