Iowa City, Iowa — Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz says the Hawkeyes need to keep their lofty ranking in perspective.
After impressive wins over Indiana and Iowa State the Hawkeyes have vaulted to fifth in the AP Poll heading into Saturday’s game against Kent State.
Ferentz says it is too early to get caught up in a ranking.
Ferentz says he is not concerned about the play of the Iowa offense through two games and feels it is just a matter of time before a young offensive line jells.
Ferentz says the pieces are in place to have a good offense.
Iowa’s defense will be challenged by quarterback Dustin Crum ands Kent State’s no huddle, up tempo offense.
