Iowa’s Kirk Ferentz Previews Purdue

Iowa City, Iowa — Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz says corner Riley Moss won’t play when the second ranked Hawkeyes host Purdue.

Moss was injured while making an interception in the Hawkeyes’ 23-20 win over Penn State.

Senior defensive back Matt Hankins has been named the Bronco Nagurski National Player of the week after recording an interception and a key fourth down spot in the win over Penn State. Hankins passed up a chance to enter the NFL Draft to return for his senior season.

Ferentz says while pleased with the 6-0 start there are a lot of challenges remaining.

Ferentz was asked about Iowa fans booing several Penn State players who they thought were faking injuries when the Hawkeyes had the ball.

The Hawkeyes have dropped three out of the last four against Purdue.

Ferentz says Purdue has been a tough matchup.
