Iowa’s Linderbaum Named Nation’s Top Center

Iowa City, Iowa — Iowa junior center Tyler Linderbaum has been named winner of the Rimington Trophy, which is awarded to the nation’s premier center in college football.

The Solon, Iowa, native was a finalist for the Rimington Trophy a year ago and is the first player in program history to receive the award. Linderbaum says he is focused on the upcoming Citrus Bowl and not the possibility of entering the NFL Draft.

The Hawkeyes will take a 10-3 record into the Citrus Bowl against Kentucky.

With classes coming to close Linderbaum says the Hawkeyes are using the time for a break.
