Brookings, South Dakota — The South Dakota State University football team will make its 10th consecutive postseason appearance – and 11th in 13 seasons – Saturday afternoon, hosting UC Davis in the opening round of the Football Championship Subdivision Playoffs.
Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. at Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium. Television coverage of the game will be exclusively through the ESPN+ streaming platform.
Both teams earned at-large selections to the 24-team field and enter the matchup with 8-3 overall records. South Dakota State, ranked 11th in the final regular season polls conducted by Stats Perform (media) and the FCS coaches, posted a 24-21 home win over North Dakota in its most recent contest on Nov. 20.
UC?Davis, ranked 14th and 16th, respectively, dropped a 27-7 home decision to Big Sky Conference regular season champion Sacramento State to close out the regular season on Nov. 20.
