Jacks Open NCAA Tournament With Providence

Brookings, South Dakota — SDSU is making its sixth NCAA Tournament appearance, all in the last 11 seasons.

The Jackrabbits went undefeated against Summit League foes (21-0). It’s the first perfect season in the 40-year history of the league. SDSU and Murray State are the only two teams to run the table in their respective leagues this season.

SDSU has won 21 consecutive games, the longest active streak in Division I men’s hoops. Thursday will mark 92 days since SDSU’s last loss, a 75-63 defeat at Missouri State on Dec. 15.

The Jacks won 30 games overall, a school and league record. That’s second to Arizona (31) and the same number as Murray State.

State leads the nation in three-point percentage (44.9) and is second in overall percentage (52.5).

SDSU’s 44.9 three-point percentage would be the best by a Division I team in 28 seasons (Indiana shot 45.4 percent from deep in 1993-94).

SDSU has won 17 straight at Frost Arena, the third longest streak in the country, winning 72 of the last 74 at Frost. The Jacks are undefeated in 7 of the last 11 seasons at home.

The Jacks are scoring 86.7 points per game, the second most in Division I. SDSU has scored 80 points in 28 games, 18 against league foes.

Baylor Scheierman is the only Division I player to lead his league in both rebounds and assists.

The Jacks are receiving votes in the AP Top 25 poll for the fifth straight week. They also garnered votes in the Coaches Poll for the third straight week

SDSU has made more free throws than its opponents have attempted. The Jacks are 517-of-681, while foes are 326-of-442. SDSU has outscored teams by 191 points at the line, the third largest disparity in Division I.

The Jacks are one of five teams in the nation to have 7 different players score 20 points in a game.

SDSU has won a non-conference road game in 14 consecutive seasons, including nine wins over Power 5 conference teams during that span.

The Jacks have won at least two non-conference games away from home in 12 of the last 14 years.

SDSU has won five consecutive Summit League regular season titles and eight of the last 10.
