Orange City — Jonathan Zoet of Hull has signed a letter of intent to continue his basketball and track and field careers at Northwestern College next year.
Zoet is a 5’9” guard who played two years for the Boyden-Hull High School basketball team. Zoet earned all-conference honors after averaging five points and four rebounds in leading the Comets to a 19-5 overall record. An honor roll student, Zoet plans to major in physical education/special education at Northwestern. He is the son of Brian and Jacinda.
“Jonathan is a tough, hard-nosed ball player,” commented head coach Kris Korver. “He has been coached well and loves to compete. We are excited that Jonathan is joining us at Northwestern College.”
Zoet competed two years for the Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley track and field team. He has personal bests of 11.8 in the 100m, 24.2 in the 200m and 19-05 in the long jump.
“Jon is a talented sprinter and jumper who will add depth to our men’s track and field team,” commented head coach Scott Bahrke. “His solid work ethic will help him succeed at the college level. We are happy to have him run track during the outdoor season for the Red Raiders.”
