Korver Signs With NWC Baseball

Colton Korver has signed a letter of intent to continue his baseball career at Northwestern College.

Korver is a 6’4″ pitcher who has lettered four years for the MOC-Floyd Valley High School baseball team heading into his final season next summer. Korver posted a 6-1 record and ranked third in the state with a 0.32 ERA, giving up two earned runs in 44 innings pitched. He struck out 53 batters and gave up just 17 walks, earning third team all-state honors. Korver was a unanimous all-conference pick and took home all-district honors as well. As a sophomore, Korver went 6-2 with a 2.02 ERA for the Dutch, receiving all-conference accolades.

“Colton is a great signing for our baseball team,” commented Northwestern Head Coach Brian Wede. “He is an all-state pitcher who competes at a high level. Colton can throw multiple pitches for strikes, holds runners on well and possesses great work ethic. Having worked with Colton before, I know he is a very talented player and am thrilled to add him to our baseball program.”

An academic all-state selection in football, Korver is a member of the National Honor Society and plans to major in Business at Northwestern. He is the son of Bruce and Sarah.
