Orange City Iowa — MOC-Floyd Valley has named its new Varsity Volleyball and Varsity Girls Basketball coaches.
Kate Boersma has been hired as the volleyball coach. Kate has been the assistant volleyball coach for three years at MOC-Floyd Valley after playing college volley ball at Northwestern College. Kate takes over for Jon Mouw who led the Dutch to a pair of state titles.
Galen Van Es has been hired as the girls basketball coach. Galen’s previous experience includes being head boys basketball coach at Spalding as well as many years as assistant boys and girls coach at MOC-Floyd Valley. Galen takes over for Gary Richardson who led the Lady Dutch to the state title in 2013.
