NAIA Football Championship Preview – Part #5

Orange City, Iowa — The final of a five-part preview for Monday’s NAIA Football Championship game between No.6 Northwestern vs No.3 Lindsey Wilson.

Special Teams will be the focal point in this final edition:

Northwestern’s kicker is All-Conference selection Eli Stader. Stader is 14/17 and set the program’s single season record holder for made field goals. He ranks 2nd in the NAIA in made field goals with a long of 46 yards, and ranked first among NAIA kickers in scoring with 96 points. Eli has converted 54/59 PAT’s and averaged 53.4 yards per kickoff with 14 touchbacks.

All Conference Punter Jaden Snyder led the GPAC in punting with a 39.4 yard average with a long of 84 yards, and ad 14 of 30 attempts inside the 20. All-Conference returner Michael Storey ranked second in the GPAC with 9.6 yards per punt return and 2nd in the conference with 26.7 yard per kick return.

Lindsey Wilson kicker/punter Ian Sauter is 62/63 in PAT’s and has 34 touchbacks, and averages 38.5 yards per punt. All-American punt returner Josh Lewis ranked second in the NAIA in punt return yards per attempt with 15.9 yards, and scored twice on returns. Kick returners are Jaylen Boyd and TJ James and average 22.4 yards and 20.8 yards per return.
