NAIA Women’s Basketball Championships Return To Sioux City

Sioux City, Iowa — Fifteen teams are headed to Sioux City to join the Morningside women’s basketball team for Thursday’s start of the NAIA Championships.

It is the 24th time Sioux City has hosted the event after last year’s tournament was shut down.

That’s tournament co-chair and Great Plains Conference commissioner Corey Westra. Fans will be allowed in the Tyson Events Center but seating will be limited.

Westra on the COVID protocols during the tournament.

Westra says there won’t be the usual number of events surrounding the tournament.

The tournament opens Thursday afternoon.
