No. 1 Van Meter plays No. 2 Central Lyon/George-Little Rock in 2A title game Friday morning

Defending champs collide in Friday morning’s 2A title game in the UNI-Dome when top ranked and last year’s 1A champ Van Meter takes on top seed and last year’s 2A champion Central Lyon/George-Little Rock. In the final 2A poll Van Meter was top ranked followed by the Lions in the #2 spot. For the Semifinals Central Lyon George Little Rock drew the top seed with Van Meter seeded #2.

Van Meter coach Eric Trudo says his team faces a big challenge.

Trudo says turnovers and big plays will be factors in the outcome.

Central Lyon coach Curtis Eben calls Van Meter a sound team.
