Northern Iowa’s Mark Farley Previews No. 1 South Dakota State

UNI is receiving votes in the latest FCS top 25.

The Panthers are coming off a thrilling 37-36 win at Southern Illinois and have won five of their last six heading into Saturday’s home finale against top ranked South Dakota State.

That’s UNI coach Mark Farley. The Panthers are 5-4 overall and Farley believes splitting the final two games will lock up an at-large bid into the FCS playoffs.

South Dakota State has won eight straight after a 7-3 loss at Iowa and the Jackrabbits have the second ranked defense in all of FCS.

Farley hopes the home field is an advantage on Saturday.

Farley says the fans can play a factor in the outcome.
