Northern Iowa’s Mark Farley Previews No. 8 Sacramento State

UNI coach Mark Farley says the Panthers need to get their defense fixed in a hurry.

Of to an 0-2 start after a loss at North Dakota the Panthers get ready to host eighth ranked Sacramento State in their home opener.

After giving up 582 yards of rushing in a loss at Air Force the Panthers gave up 304 yards of passing at North Dakota.

Farley says pass defense must make significant progress this week.

Farley says it is small mistakes that are hurting the defense right now.

The offense led by quarterback Theo Day has made significant progress this season.

In two games Day has passed for 620 yards and three touchdowns.
