Northwest Iowa Community College Welcomes First Female Soccer Player, Alayna Brazil, to Inaugural Season

Sheldon, IA – Northwest Iowa Community College (NCC) proudly announces the signing of its first female soccer player, Alayna Brazil, marking a historic milestone for the college’s soccer program. Alayna, hailing from Jordan High School in Minnesota, will join NCC’s Paramedic program while showcasing her skills on the soccer field as part of the college’s inaugural season in the fall of 2024.

A versatile player with experience in both defense and midfield, Alayna has honed her talents both at the high school level and with the Shakopee Soccer Association. Her commitment to excellence on and off the field, along with her passion for the game, make her a valuable addition to the NCC soccer team.

Expressing her excitement for this new chapter, Alayna stated, “I am very excited to join this new program and be a part of NCC history. I am looking forward to everything – the college, making friends, and playing soccer.”

NCC Head Women’s Soccer Coach, Tre Thomas, expressed, “Alayna’s exceptional skill and unwavering determination are invaluable assets to our soccer program. We are ecstatic to welcome her aboard. Her arrival signifies a pivotal moment for NCC athletics.” Alayna, daughter of Scott and Jamie Brazil from Jordan, MN, is poised to make a significant impact both on and off the field.
