Northwestern Baseball Drops Single Game In Oklahoma City

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma — The Northwestern College baseball team lost to Mid-America Christian 12-3 in a single game played today at James Curtis Field in Oklahoma City, Okla. The Raiders are now 4-5 this season; MACU improves to 6-5.

Four different players had one hit as the Raiders mustered a total of four hits against seven MACU pitchers. Kip Cullinan had a double and Sutton Derr, Noa Vogel and Mason Porepp all had singles. Northwestern batters drew 10 walks against the Evangels.

An RBI single by Derr put Northwestern in front 1-0 in the top of the third inning for the Raiders only lead. They scored an unearned run in the sixth off a wild pitch and Colton Harold drove in a run on a sacrifice fly in the seventh.

Ben Zeutenhorst (0-1) gave up six hits and four runs in 3.1 innings, one of seven Northwestern pitchers to throw against the Evangels.
