Northwestern Volleyball Hosts Dordt Tonight

Orange City, Iowa — Dordt travels to Orange City face Northwestern with a 6:00 junior varsity start and a 7:30 varsity first serve.

Northwestern is 16-7 this season and 8-5 in league play and have won four straight since back to back losses to Midland and the College of Saint Mary.

The Raiders are averaging 12.3 kills per set with 2.5 blocks per outing. Northwestern also has a 142-85 ace serves advantage this season. Teams have a 10.7 kills per set average and a .131 kill efficiency.

Alysen Dexter leads the team with 3.67 kills per outing and Bekah Horstman’s average is 2.9 with a .346 kill efficiency. Olivia Schaub and Macay Van’t Hul are averaging 1.59 and 1.54 kills per set. Jadeynn Schutt is putting up 6.41 assists per outing with a team high 29 ace serves and Olivia Granstra is averaging 3.78 with 19 aces. Emily Strasser gets 4.57 digs per set for a team that averages 16.25 and Horstman leads the Raiders on defense at the net with a 1.31 blocks per set average.

Dordt is 15-7 this season and 7-6 in the GPAC. Dordt won back to back road matches this weekend over Hastings and Doane after losing to the College of Saint Mary on October 15.

Dordt is averaging 12.51 kills per set with a team kill efficiency of .198 and the Defenders average 2.3 blocks per set while holding a 115-85 ace serves advantage. Teams are getting 12.32 kills per set against the Defenders with a .165 kill efficiency.

Corrina Timmermans leads the team with a 3.59 kills average and he averages 2.33 digs per contest. Jessi Franken has a 2.64 kills per set average and Alli Timmermans is at 2.48 with a .288 kill efficiency. Grace Langemeier has lifted her kill average to 1.56 and Danielle Vande Voort is at 1.25. Megan Raszler leads the team with 6.53 assists per set with Campbell Marshall is at 4.5. Erica Bousema gets to 5.6 digs per set and was recently named the GPAC Defensive Player of the Week. Corrina Timmermans leads the team with 30 aces and Mia Gamet has 20 aces and has a 2.53 digs per set average.

Dordt hosted Northwestern on September 25 with Northwestern winning 25-18, 27-25, 25-12 as Dexter and Horstman had 15 and 12 kills each and Schutt put up 21 assists. Dordt recorded 13 kills by Corrina Timmermans with 13 and Alli Timmermans had nine. Bousema recorded 22 digs and Raszler put up 18 assists.
