NSIC hires Todd Karolczak as coordinator of volleyball officials

Burnsville, Minn. – Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Commissioner Erin Lind has announced the hiring of Todd Karolczak of Sheldon as the league’s coordinator of volleyball officials.

In a press release from the NSIC Lind said, “Todd is a good fit for our league, as his on-court experience and NCAA experience will enable him to advance officiating across the NSIC while providing positive leadership to our coaches”. 

Karolczak was a charter member of the Northern Prairie Board of Officials and currently serves as the Board Chair and Officials Training & Rating Chair.  He has served as a rater with the USA Volleyball National Rating Team and for Professional Association of Volleyball Officials (PAVO) Training Program.

In the press release Karolczak said, “I have been honored to officiate in the preeminent volleyball conference in NCAA Div II for many years. Now I am excited for the chance to work even closer with NSIC staff, coaches, and officials to elevate the sport.”

Karolczak’s responsibilities will include assigning officials to NSIC member institutions; training, developing and oversite of officials; and implementing an evaluation program. He will serve as a liaison between the NSIC and officials for the purpose of interpreting relevant rules and communicating with member institutions.

Karolczak currently officiates Big Ten, Big East, Big 12 and Summit League matches in addition to many other levels. 

Since 2013 Karolczak has been the Marketing Manager at Maintainer Corporation of Iowa, Inc. in Sheldon, Iowa. Karolczak will begin his duties immediately.
