AMES, Iowa – The Northwestern College and Dordt University women’s golf teams concluded the Jamestown Invite – Jimmie Spring Swing golf tournament at Ames Country Club in Ames, Iowa.
Northwestern posted a team score of 367 on Tuesday playing in difficult weather conditions. The team’s play on Tuesday surged the Raiders from ninth to sixth place in a competitive field, featuring two National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II schools, at the conclusion of the tournament. The Raider women were led by the rounds of Emily Hulshof (Fr., Ireton, Iowa/West Sioux) who signed the score of 180 (89-91, +38) and placed tenth in the tournament. Martha Stein (So., Milford, Iowa/Okoboji) was the other Raider to finish in the top-20 of the tournament, as she posted a score of 185 (93-92, +43). The Raider women took home sixth place with a team score of 759.
The University of Sioux Falls (S.D.) hoisted the team title in the two-round event with a team score of 692. USF’s Paige Hillman took home the individual title with the score of 159 (+17).

The Dordt Defender women were eighth in the final team standings. Dordt finished two strokes out of seventh and eight out of sixth. The University of Sioux Falls won the nine-team event with a two day total of 336-356=692 while Dordt shot a 388-379=767.
Bailey Weg shot a 95-93=188 for 23rd place and Rachel Bostwick’s score of 93-96=189 was good for 27th.
