Estherville Iowa — The Sheldon boys track team competed at the Estherville Lincoln Central Relays Thursday turning in a third place finish. Algona won the team title at 135 followed by Spirit Lake at 98. The Orabs finished with 89 team points.
First place finishes for the Orabs came in the 110 meter hurdles with Brandon Winkel finishing in 16.33. The second place time was 17.27. Winkel also won the long jump at 20-07.25. Second place was 19-03.00. Tyler Lode won the high jump at 5-10. Ryan Van Marel won the discus with a toss of 143-01. The second place distance was 139-11. In the relay events Sheldon won the 800 sprint medley in a time of 1:40.87. The second place time was 1:41.24.
