Ocheyedan, Iowa — Sheldon traveled to Sibley Ocheyedan Friday night a picked up a 3-0 win over the Generals.
All of the scoring came in the third inning as Tori Elgersma led off with a single to right and scored on a single to right by Payton Lode. Lode scored on an rbi double to the gap in right center by Keely Simonson. Simonson came in on a double to left by Kourtney Dekker.
Dekker earned the win giving up 5 hits and struck out 10. She did not walk a batter. Alayna Wingate took the loss. She scattered 8 hits and struck out 6 and did not walk a batter either.
With the win Sheldon is 10-1 on the year and 5-1 in the conference. The Generals are 2-5 on the year and in the Siouxland. Sheldon returns to action Monday with a trip to G-LR-CL. Sibley Ocheyedan will be in the Spirit Lake tournament Saturday.
