Orange City, Iowa — The Northwestern College wrestling team will compete in three home duals, the GPAC duals, this weekend at the Bultman Center.
All of the matches will be on Saturday, Jan. 30; The Raiders will face 18th ranked Morningside at 11am, (RV) Dakota Wesleyan at 12:30pm and will close out their day against Midland at 2pm.
Northwestern is 1-3 in the GPAC, 5-3 overall, coming off a win against York last Saturday; Dakota Wesleyan is 1-4 in the GPAC and 2-9 overall; Midland is 0-5 overall, 0-4 in the GPAC; Morningside is unbeaten in the GPAC with a record of 5-0, and is 9-3 overall.

Northwestern is 3-14 against Morningside dating back to the 2005-06 season, losing the last 2 matchups. Last year, the Mustangs defeated the Raiders 27-21, Northwestern’s Andrew Null picked up a win by fall at 165.
Northwestern holds the upper hand in the rivalry against Dakota Wesleyan. Since the 2005-06 season the Raiders have the advantage at 9-5. In their last match up during the 2019-20 season, Northwestern won 39-9, led by Blake Pomajzl, who contributed a decision win at 157.
Northwestern is 2-6 in duals against Midland since the 2010-2011 season. Last year, Northwestern earned one of their two wins against Midland, with a score of 44-6. The Raiders’ Chase Peterson and Luke Jenness picked up wins.
