The Northwestern College men’s basketball team plays at the University of Jamestown on Wednesday night, Nov. 18, for a mid-week GPAC match-up. Tip-off at Jamestown is set for 8pm. Northwestern is 0-1 in the GPAC, 2-1 overall; the host Jimmies are 1-0 in the conference, 4-1 overall.
The Jimmies had their four-game win streak snapped last time out, falling to Valley City State 99-83 on the road on Nov. 14. Prior to that loss, they had defeated Oak Hills Christian, Presentation, Valley City State and Morningside, its lone GPAC game.
Neville is in his sixth year as the head of the Jamestown men’s basketball program and returns two starters and nine players from a 2019-20 team that finished seventh in the GPAC at 9-11, 18-13 overall. Neville, a former player at Grand View, led the Jimmies to the national tournament in 2019 and won the GPAC postseason title that season.
Northwestern is 11-7 all-time against the Jimmies, dating back to the first meeting back in 1972-73. The Raiders swept both games last year and are 7-3 over the last 10.
