Des Moines Iowa — Region Tournament brackets are out for all Classes of Iowa high school volleyball. 1A and 2A play in games will be Tuesday the 17th. The quarterfinal round in both 1A and 2A will be on Monday October 23rd.In Class 3A the Regionals begin with the quarterfinal round on Wednesday October 18th. The semifinal round for 3A will be on Tuesday October 24th.
In Class 3A Sheldon will open tournament play at home in the upper bracket of Region 1 against Estherville Lincoln Central. Also in the upper bracket it’s Spirit Lake at Sioux Center.
In the lower bracket Cherokee will be at MOC Floyd Valley and Pocahontas Area will be at Humboldt.
In Class 1A Region 1 upper bracket games include Siouxland Christian at Akron Westfield, River Valley at Westwood and Whiting at West Monona. The upper bracket bye went to LeMars Gehlen.
In the lower bracket it’s Clay Central Everly at MMC-RU, Remen St Mary’s at Kingsley Pierson and Trinity at G-LR. The lower bracket bye went to Harris Lake Park.
Area 2A teams fell into a pair of different regions with Western in Region 1 and Unity in Region 2. Play in games in Region 1 on Tuesday the 17th include Emmetsburg at HMS and South O’Brien at Boyden Hull. Upper bracket byes went to Western and West Sioux.
In the lower bracket it’s Sibley Ocheyedan at Rock Valley and Okoboji at North Union. Lower bracket byes went to West Lyon and Central Lyon.
In Class 2A Region 2 play in games include Sioux Central at Alta Aurelia and Manson Northwest Webster at Ridge View. Upper bracket byes went to Unity and Hinton.
In the lower bracket it’s MVAO-COU at Logan Magnolia and Woodbury Central at Lawton Bronson. Lower bracket byes went to Treynor and Missouri Valley.
The quarterfinal round in both 1A and 2A will be on Monday October 23rd.
