Northwest Iowa — Area wrestlers took their first step toward the State Tournament with the Sectional round on Saturday. Area wrestlers in Class 2A were at Sectionals hosted by Spirit Lake and Sergeant Bluff Luton. The top two individuals advance to the District tournament Saturday the 10th at Sioux Center. The top two teams qualified for the Dual Team District competition.
Three Sheldon South O’Brien wrestlers will take part in the District Tournament. At 182 Luke Jenness won the title. TK Lang finished second at 285. Dakota Johannes won a true second match to move on at 152.
