Sheldon Falls To Sioux Center In Regular Season Finale

Sioux Center, Iowa — Sioux Center’s hot start was too much for the Sheldon Orabs to overcome Friday night in Sioux Center.

Sioux Center jumped out to a big first quarter lead and after one had a 16-4 lead. At halftime the lead was 11, at 33-22. The Orabs were able to trim the lead to 8, but couldn’t get any closer and after three, Sioux Center had a 49-32 lead and went on to win 63-51.

Sioux Center had three players in double figures. The Warriors got a team high 17 from Wilson Harsbarger, sixteen from Christian Vietor, and 12 from Damon Walhof. Sheldon got a game high 19 from Jordan Jeffries, and ten each from Tye Sudbeck and Kaleb Ackerman.

With the win, Sioux Center improves to 7-14, and 6-12 in the Siouxland. Sheldon falls to 6-15, and 5-13 in the conference.

Up next the Orabs open up tournament play against Pocahontas Monday night at Sioux Central with a 6:30 pm tip off.
