Sieperda To Continue With Softball Career

Northwestern College logoOrange City, Iowa — Ivy Sieperda (Rock Rapids, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue her softball career at Northwestern next year.

Sieperda is a multi-sports standout who played three years for the Central Lyon/George-Little Rock High school softball team. An all-conference pick in several sports, Sieperda earned second team accolades in softball as a junior. The 5’6” shortstop hit .338 with three doubles and 13 stolen bases in leading her team to the second round of the postseason. Sieperda is a member of the National Honor Society and plans to major in business at Northwestern. She is the daughter of Scott and Amy.

“Ivy is a great fit for Northwestern College and our softball program,” commented head coach Chris Nachtigall. “She is a good athlete with strong character. Ivy’s work ethic, determination and care for others are the things we look for in athletes and those will allow her to have a positive impact on our program and on campus.”
