Twenty-four women’s volleyball teams from across the country are in Sioux City for Wednesday’s start of the NAIA Championships.
Tournament co-director Corey Westra says the tournament runs through December sixth at the Tyson Events Center.
Westra says among the activities associate with the event will be a youth clinic for elementary students this weekend.
Great Plains Athletic Conference champion Northwestern is the lone Iowa school in the field. The Red Raiders open pool play Wednesday afternoon against Marian of Indiana at 4:00 pm. Their second opponent will be (No. 7) SAGU (Texas) (33-0, 20-0 SAC) on Friday also at 4:00 p.m.
