Thursday marked day one of the Iowa Football Championships at the UNI Dome in Cedar Falls. Three area teams have made the Championship round including Remsen St Mary’s who won the 8 player title. West Sioux made the cut in 1A joined by Central Lyon George Little Rock in Class 2A.

West Sioux will play as the #2 seed in Class 1A at 4:00 on Friday against top seed and defending champ Van Meter. Central Lyon George Little Rock will be in action in the first game of the day Friday at 10:00. The Lions are the #2 seed in Class 2A squaring off against top seed Williamsburg.
