Alexis Toering, of Sioux Center, has signed a letter of intent to continue her basketball career at Northwestern College next year.
Toering is a 5’11” forward who lettered four years for the Sioux Center Warriors. As a senior, she averaged 16 points, 6.4 rebounds and recorded an impressive 169 steals in leading her team to a 24-3 record and second place finish at the state tournament. Toering is a three-time first-team all-conference selection, two-time first-team all-state selection, two-time all-tournament team selection and she was awarded the 2017 3A player of the year honors. Along with all of her athletic accomplishments, she is a member of the National Honor Society and an honor roll students. Toering plans to major in exercise science at Northwestern and is the daughter of Mick and Emily.
