Sioux Center, Iowa — Makennah Traver of Sioux Center has signed a letter of intent to continue her volleyball career at Northwestern College next fall.
Traver is a 5’7″ libero who just completed a standout four-year career playing for the Sioux Center High School volleyball team. Traver averaged a team-high 4.6 digs per set, third most in the Siouxland Conference, in leading the Warriors to a 25-10 record this fall. She totaled 24 aces and earned first team all-conference honors this season. Traver was a second team all-conference selection as both a sophomore and junior and concluded her career with 969 digs, 513 kills and 96 ace serves. An honor roll student all four years, Traver plans to major in education at Northwestern. She is the daughter of Tim and Jenn.
“Makennah is a great competitor who we are excited to add to our volleyball program,” said Northwestern Head Coach Kyle Van Den Bosch. “She plays with a great energy and determination that is contagious to her teammates. We look forward to Makennah’s contributions, both on and off the volleyball court, at Northwestern.”
