(KIWA Staff Photo)Dyersville, Iowa (RI) — The Minnesota Twins play the Philadelphia Phillies tomorrow at the Field of Dreams in Dyersville, the third Major League game to be held at the farm-field venue made famous by the 1989 movie.
Jeremiah Yolkut, senior vice president of global events for Major League Baseball, says the Twins were selected for several reasons.
The Chicago Cubs and the Chicago White Sox were featured in the previous MLB “Field of Dreams” games in 2021 and 2022. Yolkut says having one of the teams within driving distance of Iowa is also a factor.
Tomorrow night’s game in Dyersville carries playoff implications for both clubs.
