Van Voorst Commits To Northwestern

Orange City, Iowa — Jake Van Voorst of Hull has signed a letter of intent to continue his track and field career at Northwestern College next fall.

Van Voorst has competed three years for the Western Christian High School track and field team heading into his final season this spring. Van Voorst has a personal best of 45’00 in the shot put and was named the Wolfpack’s offensive line most valuable player. A member of the honor roll and academic all-district team, Van Voorst plans to major in criminal justice / psychology at Northwestern. He is the son of Jamie and Gwen.

“Jake is a talented thrower who will add depth to our men’s team,” commented Northwestern Head Coach Scott Bahrke. “We are excited to have Jake in our program and look forward to watching him contribute to our team and campus.”
