Orange City, Iowa — Samantha Vander Velde has signed a letter of intent to continue her golf career at Northwestern College this fall.
Vander Velde was a four-years standout for Sioux Center High School who helped lead the Warriors to the regional finals last year. Vander Velde earned medalist honors once and had a career-best round of 92 at regionals last year. A member of the National Honor Society, Vander Velde plans to major in biology/health professions and math at Northwestern. She is the daughter of Monte and Erin.
“I am really excited to have Samantha join our Red Raider golf team next year,” said Northwestern head coach Catherine Van Der Weide. “Samantha’s hard work and dedication will be a great addition to our team.”
