Lake temperatures have cooled to the low to mid-70s with recent rains. Water levels are just below crest. Many of the late summer algae blooms are starting to subside. The fishing bite is trending up. Last updated on 09/10/2026

The lake still has a slight algae bloom.

The lake is just below crest. The perch bite has picked up recently.
- Largemouth Bass – Good: Anglers are catching quality-sized bass.
- Walleye – Good: Anglers are targeting fish effectively using livescope, as well as trolling.
- Yellow Perch – Good: Many anglers are catching perch in 6-12 feet of water. Jigs paired with wigglers work well.

The lake is experiencing a slight algae bloom; water clarity remains good.
- Bluegill – Good: Bluegill are out a bit deeper. Many anglers are catching fish upwards of 9-inches.
