Hawarden Man Injured After Hitting Embankment

Ireton, Iowa — A Hawarden man was injured in an accident near Ireton on Monday, August 21st.

The Sioux Count Sheriff’s Office reports that just after noon on Monday, 21-year-old Henry Moltrer of Hawarden was driving a 1992 Pontiac Grand Am southbound on Cleveland Avenue, six miles southwest of Ireton. According to the report, Moltrer lost control of the vehicle, entered the west ditch and struck a ditch embankment.

The Pontiac received $1600 damage.

Moltrer reported minor injuries and sought medical attention on his own
