Orange City Woman Taken To Hospital After Crash

Orange City, Iowa– An Orange City woman was taken to the hospital after an accident in Orange City.

The Orange City Police Department reports that about 3:50 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22, 2018, 41-year-old Rosario Vasquez of Orange City was driving a 2008 Pontiac southbound on Albany Avenue Northeast in Orange City. They say 51-year-old Andra Kamstra of Orange City was eastbound on East First Street in a 2006 Buick SUV.

The report says that Rosario failed to stop for the stop sign and the vehicles collided in the intersection.

The Orange City Ambulance took Vasquez to the Orange City Health System Hospital.

Vasquez’s Pontiac sustained about $5000 in damages, and Kamstra’s Buick SUV sustained about $3500 in damages.

Vasquez was charged with failure to obey a stop sign and no proof of insurance.
