Sibley Man Arrested On Felony Drug Charge

Sibley, Iowa — A Sibley man has been arrested on a warrant after an alleged felony drug offense.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Monday, January 15th, 2018, an Osceola County Deputy arrested 49-year-old Joey Lee Renken of Sibley on a felony warrant for Possession of Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine Third offense, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

According to Iowa Code, the Possession of Controlled Substance, third offense charge is a class D felony. The code says Possession of Drug Paraphernalia is a simple misdemeanor.

According to court records, the criminal complaint in the case was filed on January 3rd.

Renken was booked into the Osceola County Jail. Court records say he posted a $5,300 bond the same day and was released. Renken faces a preliminary hearing in the case on Monday, February 5th.
