Three Taken To Hospital After Rollover Near Boyden

Boyden, Iowa — Three people were taken to a hospital after a crash on Friday near Boyden.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that about 3:55 p.m., 17-year-old Andres Gomora of Boyden was driving a 1997 Chevrolet Lumina northbound on Jefferson Avenue, three miles southwest of Boyden, when he lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle entered the east ditch and rolled.

The Boyden Ambulance took Gomora and two passengers to the Orange City Health System Hospital.

The Chevrolet sustained about $5,000 in damage.

Gomora was cited on a charge of operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license and failing to maintain control of a motor vehicle.
