Sheldon, Iowa — A Sheldon man who works as an insurance agent and financial consultant was part of a group who visited lawmakers at the Iowa statehouse last week, talking to representatives and senators about issues important to their clients.
Randy Kruse of Farm Bureau Financial Services in Sheldon tells us how those meetings with our state legislators came about.
He says the topics of conversation included the protection of seniors, as well as teacher retirement accounts.
We asked Kruse about what kind of response his group got from the legislators.
Kruse said his group also talked with legislators about the new “bare bones” health insurance bill that was approved by the Iowa Senate last week.
