Sioux County Sheriff Seeks Public’s Help In Gun Theft

Hull, Iowa — The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help to find out who stole a handgun from an automoobile in Hull this past Sunday.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the theft, which was reported Tuesday, happened sometime between 5:30 pm Sunday, March 26th, and 7:00 am Monday, March 27th.  They say that sometime during those hours, someone entered a vehicle parked on Walnut Street in Hull, and removed a .40-caliber Springfield Armory XD40 subcompact pistol, which is black in color.

Sioux County authorities ask anyone who has information on this crime to please contact the Sheriff’s Office at 712-737-2280.

They say the photo below is of a handgun similar to the one taken in this auto burglary.
