Thunder In The Valley Pull To Be Even Bigger This Year

Rock Valley, Iowa — It’s time for the big annual tractor pull in Rock Valley. “Thunder In The Valley” starts this Friday night, July 12th — and over $100,000 is on the line.

Rich Rozeboom is one of the many people helping to put it together, and he says it’s going to be even bigger this year.

Rozeboom says there won’t be many breaks in the action.

He tells us about the prize money.

Rozeboom says the Sioux County Cattlemen and Lyon County Pork Producers will be selling sandwiches. There will be a full concession stand with ice cream, water, pop, “Super Farm Nachos,” and more. According to Rozeboom, they’ll have other items for sale too.

Adult tickets are $25 per show, which includes a pit pass so you can see the machines up close. Kids 6-12 get in for $5, and kids 5 and under get in for free. Rozeboom tells us there are also some free camping spots.
