Bronner Signs With Dordt Volleyball

Jori Bronner, a senior at Unity Christian High School, has announced her intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender volleyball program.

Bronner had 364 kills as a senior while averaging 3.43 kills per set with 294 digs for a 2.77 digs per set average. She also had 45 ace serves and 69 blocks. During her career Bronner had 983 kills, 818 digs, 233 blocks and 116 ace serves. She was a first-team all-state pick in 2018 while also claiming all-district and all-conference honors in 2017 and 2018. Bronner also earned all-tournament accolades at the Iowa High School State Volleyball Tournament where Unity finished runner-up in Class 2A.

“Jori is a powerful athlete who continued to shine through her senior volleyball season. As a multi-sport athlete, she has a presence on the court and field that opposing teams take notice and build scouting reports around her. She will impact our program right away with not only strong net play in the middle or at the pins but also with a powerful serve and strong ball control through the backrow. We are grateful for high school coach Patty Timmermans helping Jori continue to develop through her prep years and we are excited to continue that growth through our program. Jori cares about serving the Lord and serving others which aligns perfectly with the Defender Way. We look forward to her arrival in our program this August,” said Dordt volleyball head coach Chad Hanson.

Jori is the daughter of David and Cheryl Bronner of Sioux Center, Iowa. She plans to enter the Pre-Dentistry program and major in Biology.
